When Valentine's Day Hurts
My name is Michelle, and I am the founder and CEO of Nifty Package Company. Creating gifts, especially for the holidays, is one of my greatest joys. Though my life and my business are vibrant and filled with joy, I have also experienced deep pain, grief, and loss. Two years ago I became a widow. We also have several women on staff who have lost their husbands. Days like today, a holiday centered mostly around romantic love, can be difficult for many to navigate (myself included). I had the honor recently to create a bereavement box, and it was a beautiful experience. I wanted to reach out to all of you today to remind you that you are not alone, that you are loved, and that you can get through your struggle better for having been through it.
