Preparing Your Company for the Holiday Season in a Pandemic
With a checklist in hand, it’s time to start mapping out your holiday strategy. December is quickly approaching and once Labor Day is over, we at Nifty, are hot on our work preparing gift wrapping ideas, getting our candy canes ready and ordering new ribbon.
You might be tempted to think it’s too soon to prepare your business for the holidays, but summer is winding down, pumpkin spice lattes will be available in a week and the beginning of fall is the best time to start preparing.
As a business owner, you will want to put yourself in a position where you are prepared for the holiday season for your clients and your staff. You know you will have to do something, let us help you with a handy checklist.
Review last year
Consider, think review and analyze any challenges that occurred last year, including what you weren’t prepared for, shipping issues and last minute gifts or thank yous.
Here are seven tips for you to get started on planning for the holiday season.
There already is a shortage of staff in many fields, plan on a holiday crew, incentivize them with a micro site (we do this for you) where they can pick out a gift, a nice gift, pay them a little extra and support them when they need it.
Think about the struggles you went through last year, include them in what went well, what might need to change and toss what didn't work.
Make sure you have all you need as you head into the busy time and a reflective time. I don't know about you but the Covid-19 Pandemic has created a lot of feelings of what is most important, that is family, friends and our community. Be as organized as you can thinking ahead of what you might need, cards, thank you's, wrap, and don't forget creative ideas.
Well, what we do know is that things will not be the same so why not start thinking about how different you can be.
How about being festive? Make it a team effort! Decorate according the your corporate culture being inclusive of those around you. Yes, Christmas is faith-based but all can celebrate according to their cultures and faith. Right now this is more important than ever.
Let's be honest, many of us look forward to the pumpkin spice lattes or the bourbon laced coffee or tea drinks but my personal favorite are the eggnog lattes. I cut the eggnog in half and add a shot of espresso! Yum! We are right around the corner so we at Nifty are busy little bees preparing for you as you prepare for your business entering in to the season.
